KLR650 DF ABS: the big news for 2027
For 2027, the KLR650 range is expanded with the addition of the new KLR650 DF ABS. The model Durable Force (DF) provides a rugged and utilitarian style, while maintaining the performance, capability and all-day comfort that riders expect from a motorcycle of this type. Equipped with a 652cc single-cylinder four-valve fuel-injected engineoffers a linear power curve that allows efficient driving on and off the road.

It can generate a maximum power of 40 HP at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 53 Nm at 4,500 rpm. His 23 liter fuel tank It allows us to travel long distances between refueling, which increases the KLR650’s capacity for long-distance trips. As for the chassis, we have a high-strength steel frame and a long chassis layout for balanced driving at highway speeds, with or without luggage.
The long-travel suspension helps absorb bumps without difficulty, while the relaxed and upright riding position allows for long hours on the bike. For braking, the KLR650 DF ABS includes double brake discs, one per axle. The 300 mm front provides great braking power, while the models equipped with ABS provide added safety to the rider.

Equipment with an adventurous approach
In terms of ergonomics, the handlebars and footrests with rubber supports, along with the rubber shock absorbers under the seat, help control vibrations and improve comfort. The standard equipment of the model is completed, among others, by a high windshield with two-position adjustment, a multifunction digital instrument panel and an aluminum rear luggage rack.
Available Kawasaki Genuine Accessories include side cases and a top-opening trunk with one-key compatibility. A 26-amp generator provides up to 80 watts of accessory capacity, depending on usage. As for the finishes, the matte metallic gray body stands out, giving the KLR650 DF ABS a robust and discreet appearance.

The hand and chassis protectors reinforce its resistant and functional character. Complementing the dark bodywork, the bolts, axle shafts, brake caliper bracket, rear suspension arm, rear luggage rack and other components feature black finishes. As with the aforementioned KLX300, the KLR650 range is not currently marketed in Europe.
This KLR650 DF ABS version has an official price in the North American market of $7,699 and will only be offered, starting next December, in one color scheme: Metallic Flat Raw Graystone.
