Kawasaki Zephyr 1107R: You want one and you know it
Thanks to Pipe Burn’s companions we have met, first hand, this spectacular Zephyr 1107R. A motorcycle owned by Mr. Yshita, which has been modifying to taste for several decades with the help of the people of Shabon Lady. In fact, in the store of this coach, located in Fujizuka, city of Nisshin, in the prefecture of Aichi, they have baptized her as the “final incarnation.”
As explained by manager Takigawa-san, “This navy blue motorcycle is from someone who has been coming to our workshop for more than 20 years. Originally, he came to our workshop for a carburetor change”. This was in the late 90s, when the owner of the Zephyr 1107R initially amount a battery of more capacity carburetors. That seems to hook the guy, since from there he has not ceased to make modifications in this, his eternal project.
As explained by Pipe Burn: “Several improvements were made to the engine, the suspension was changed, a strict diet was followed to reduce the excessive weight of the Kawa and new wheels were added. But to become the final incarnation that Takigawa-san knew it could be, and that its owner wanted deeply, it would have to be completely disassembled and submit to a complete reconstruction.”
Undoubtedly, the process until reaching the current version has been arduous and expensive, but the owner has not spared anything, with the aim of building a truly unique motorcycle. Among the most notable modifications that currently equips the Zephyr 1107R, we could highlight:

At the mechanical level, the Shabon Lady Zephyr 1107R has been completely rebuilt, improving it with high specification pieces as a 75 mm Wiseco forged piston set, achieving reaching 1,107 CC of final cubic. Similarly, Yoshi cams have been mounted, 38 mm TMR-MJN carburetors and a higher capacity radiator, including all new sleeves.
The cake of the cake to this ambitious project is made endless elements of equipment such as the Stack Competition indicators, the artisanal shell or the beautiful painting scheme, YF Design work. The latter, personal choice of the owner, includes a combination of navy and gold that literally removes the hypo, in addition to giving it an ideal image where the retro and modern one is combined masterfully.
