The past April Fool’s Day has left us with very interesting things, like this fictitious KW-H2R, designed by the people of Kawasaki Spain. An F1 equipped with the brand’s own supercharged engine that more than one of us would love to see become a reality.
Among other things because it shouldn’t be boring at all to get behind the controls of a device of this type and also powered by the famous Akashi aspirated tetracylindrical.
KW-H2R: THE F1 of the Kawasaki Racing Team
The Japanese brand used one of its social networks with the most followers to publicize this KW-H2R. In it they wrote: “For the first time and for a limited time, we present to you the new Kawasaki Racing Team car… It would be amazing to see it on the Monaco, Las Vegas, Monza or Interlagos circuit. In the meantime… Happy April Fools’ Day!
Some of the brand’s followers were interested in the KW-H2R, just a few seconds after being presented to society, even if it was only virtually. More than one of us immediately began to wander with the idea that Kawasaki could make this KW-H2R a reality, something unlikely taking into account the current F1 regulations and the technology they use.
Let us remember that the engine that the H2R has, a 998 cc in-line four-cylinder, declares a maximum power of 310 hp at 14,000 rpmthis figure can reach up to 326 HP when the RAM-Air system operates. The maximum torque offered rises to 165 Nm at 12,500 revolutions and manages to catapult its 216 kilograms in running order beyond the 380km/h.
Now, a current single-seater weighs around 800 kilos, but has maximum power figures close to 1,000 HP. That is why the KW-H2R probably had nothing to do with them, although it is undeniable that some of the drivers that make up the current 2025 grid, within the world championship, would sign tomorrow to take the controls of one of these.
