Although we usually take love of certain models, the truth is that no matter how legendary that they are certain motorcycles ends up arriving at the time in which it ceases or its production or its commercialization. That is the case of the Suzuki SV650which according to the information will not continue to be sold in the European continent from 2026.
Suzuki SV650 is a motorcycle that reached the market in 1999 and did so with two versions. One of them, the one that is most remembered, is the Naked that is the one that is still in the market for now and the other version S with semi -cane. Its 645 cc and 70 hp bicylindrical engine was a good base for what was to come later.
It is not the first time that the SV650 disappears from the Suzuki catalog
Some time later came the second version that already had electronic injection and so time was spending (already without a fairing version) until in 2013 the SV650 gave way to the Gladius SFV650. For a while what was already a perfect and adapted school motorcycle for the A2 ceased to be available, but it was only three years and the SV returned in 2016.
Since then almost 10 years have passed in which it has received some touch-ups, but in which it has maintained its essence in the purest way while they were reaching the Suzuki range other models perhaps more adapted to the tastes of the moment and, of course, much more technologically advanced such as the GSX-8S.
Surely that is the main reason why we lose a motorcycle with its own name and that is that times change and that GSX-8S is much more advanced on all fronts, especially in relation to electronic aids. Of course, for now there are still SV650 available in Suzuki dealers and, in addition, with very competitive prices.
