We all expected Jorge Martín’s return during the 2025 Grand Prix, and we all knew that the current champion was going to have him very uphill for his physical problems, dragged by the two preseason falls. Even so, the Madrid took everything he had to work little by little, and even in the Sprint Race he showed his qualities despite the pain.

On Sunday things were going to be more complicated, but nobody thought that so much when Martín, in the absence of 9 laps for the end and when he struggled to reach the points, went to the ground in the linked curves of sector three after leaving the path and stepping on the inclined piano. A situation that we have lived on more occasions, and that is that when the piano falls back the grip and motorcycle with the pilot return to the track. Behind was Di Giannantonio who did everything possible to avoid it, but hit the Spanish.

A blow, which for many went unnoticed, in which he lost part of the alerons of the helmet and that Martin had to return to the ground after trying to join. The race continued with Martín and the doctors in the escape, and after the initial evaluation in which a pneumothorax was confirmed, in a second exploration the confirmation came “six fractures in the subsequent rights arches, from the rib one to the six”.

Subsequently, in a third exploration already made today Monday, it is confirmed that the fractures are eight in the posterior costal arches, three in the side arches. Fortunately, at the same time in this third exam, effects are ruled out in the brain, the cervical column or the abdominal organs.

That is, the main blow was on the back and, although it seems to lie, it is good news because if it had been direct in the head the same would not be talking about recoverable injuries. Of course, we continue talking about a serious injury that Martín will take to recover and leave him out of combat for an indefinite period. In fact, at this time that period is indefinite, even with the time that the Madrid must be admitted to a Losail hospital.

And right on the other side of the balance we have Marc Márquez. If Martín is living in 2025 a very complicated year, for Marc Márquez it is a year of redemption. For now, leaving aside Austin’s mistake has been a perfect season, he leads everything, he wins everything and even does it on clues that are not favorable a priori as it was slab.

With the Grand Prix of Qatar 2025 we have reached the four GP played and in all of them the pole, the quick lap and the Sprint race have been taken, in addition to three of the four GP victories.

That is, everything Marc has ended in 2025 has won it and it is for that reason that he leaves Qatar as a solid leader and after giving a master class in the race. Because after all the other races have been “simple” in regards to not having to fight directly, in Qatar he had to do it, he had to manage tires and decided when it was time to go to the attack. That moment was when he saw Bagnaia by his side after the Italian left tenth and reached the head group.

But even so, Marc is carrying out a seasonal start that confirms that, with a competitive motorcycle, he is still the fastest grill pilot despite the great role of Pecco Bagnaia, Álex Márquez or this weekend Maverick Viñales. And if someone could try to take the victory to the Major of the Márquez in the GP it was Maverick with the KTM.

Despite the deficiencies of the Austrian motorcycle, Viñales took out his entire class, taking advantage of the strengths of the motorcycle and leading the race to finish second. Unfortunately, he did not comply with the regulation in the pressures section and was sanctioned with 16 seconds, losing a more than deserved second.

That second place was inherited by a Bagnaia, who has not been able to shine as expected under the spotlights of Losail, and that is that an error in the Q2 complicated him over the weekend, left him without points in the Sprint, and made that Sunday he had to go back from the beautiful. In that comeback he demonstrated his speed, but the sensation (perhaps premature when carrying only four GP) is that Bagnaia does not lack speed or talent, but that point of not failing at the time when it should not be failure.

The podium on Sunday (and also on Saturday) was completed by a Franco Morbidelli who without making noise is shining this season, is fourth in the provisional and recovering the sensations he had before the knee injury that has cost him so much to leave behind. Undoubtedly, great news for the championship, as is that Johann Zarco and La Honda ended up in the fourth position and less than two tenths of the podium. HRC’s firm steps are a reality and every day they are closer to savoring a podium again.

Another pleasant surprise, although it will stop being it if it continues, was Fermín Aldeguer. Solid, fast, without making mistakes and fighting against pilots with much more experience, the Murcian ended fifth but fought with Morbidelli and Zarco with a podium that will end up arriving and if he continues in this line it will be sooner rather than later.

Less positive was the Sunday of Fermín’s partner, Álex Márquez. After a small touch with Marc at the start of the race, he was involved in an incident with Di Giannantonio who mortgaged both races, Fabio’s when he took it out of track and his when having to fulfill a sanction that Alex himself recognized fair.

Despite this, the 10 points of the sixth place allow you to continue in second position of the provisional and that sixth is its worst result of the season, because in the rest of the races it has been second.

A step further we find Fabio Quartararo with the first of the Yamaha. It seemed that M1 could be more competitive in the race, because in training it was, but it did not happen, and although it seems that every day they are somewhat closer, they do not finish quadling things so that it is so. Whoever does not finish things is Pedro Acosta, who after the sanction to Viñales appears as the best KTM, but who was far away from Maverick’s performance and even his own performance last year on this same track. Of course it is not being the best season start for Acosta, but it has no choice but to continue pushing.

Perhaps one of the great disappointments of this seasonal start, in addition to the lack of KTM performance, are the results of Aprilia. With Martín out of play, Marco Bezzecchi is not being able to fight for the head stalls with a motorcycle from which it is difficult to analyze the real potential at the moment and that without the declassification of vineyards would have been the worst classified of the five brands present in the championship.

Now and following the old sayings, the World Cup is prepared to start, because the next appointment will be in Europe. Jerez will host the fifth proof of a championship of which there is still a lot of cloth to cut and that, surely, will bring us new surprises.
