Maryam Talaee It has been linked to this two wheels since 2009. At least when it comes to his facet as a pilot, since the 44 -year -old Iranian is passionate about the motor world, in addition to a renowned human rights and animals activist.
His last audacity has been to participate in the recent Fiva World Motorcycle Rally 2025 with a bmw sidecar fed by biofuel. As they detailed from the organization itself this edition itself “For the first time, a team of three motorcycles will complete the rally entirely with biofuel, thanks to the Net Zero de Lo program.”
Maryam Talaee, a reference for female activism
Once again, Maryam Talaee gets out of what is established by being clear that the classic can be fully compatible with aspects as current in our days as ecology or renewable energies. That is why in this 2025 edition of Fiva World Motorcycle Rally, the Iranian pilot has participated with a BMW Sidecar owned by the well -known local collector Stefano Zuban.
On this occasion, the route has led those registered to travel a total distance around 400 kilometers, visiting cities and historical places in the transalpine country such as Florence, Siena, Volterra, Pisa, Lucca or Castelvecchio Pascoli, among others. The event also included entry to such emblematic sites as the Piaggio Museum and the Batilana collection.
In this context, Maryam Talaee and the BMW Sidecar fed by biofuel have participated “With the aim of raising awareness about sustainable mobility and female emancipation”as detailed from Moto It. The reason for this choice, by the Iranian, to participate in the well -known Italian event, has not been the result of chance. She herself argues that:
“It is a renewable and more sustainable energy than fossil fuels, can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and have a lower toxicity level.”. With this initiative Maryam Talaee not only gives visibility to the environmental cause. Also to the claim of women within the world of two wheels.
As she explains, in relation to the situation she lives in her own country: “I am a champion on two wheels, but I can only train in a circuit. In our country it is not well seen that women drive motorcycles on the road.” A situation that seems unusual in the 21st century, but that remains full in countries where Islam and Sharia impose its law.
However, Talaee has demonstrated, once again, to be a reference for thousands of women with this last initiative. In addition, it has had the full support of the FIVA that the BMW Sidecar conversion has seen to be used with biofering. The reason is none other than to be able to achieve it, it is not necessary to attempt against the image and the essence of a vehicle already cataloged as historical.
