From 9 May to 6 June 2024, MotoGP 24 users had the chance to submit their most imaginative ideas using the in-game helmet editor, an advanced tool that allows users to express themselves by creating original graphics to use in their virtual races. The winning design, chosen by Maverick Viñales himself, is the same one he wears during this race weekend.
Maverick Vinales expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative: “I am excited to be wearing this special helmet designed by my fans. I want to thank everyone for their effort and creativity. Choosing just one design was very difficult and now I am looking forward to wearing it on the track. I am proud to have collaborated with the MotoGP 24 team on such an innovative initiative that further enhances the connection with my fans.”

The competition attracted entries from around the world, reflecting the diversity and dedication of fans of the MotoGP video game franchise. The winning helmet, designed by a Brazilian gamer, features a dynamic mix of colours as well as the ferocious face of a gorilla, recalling one of Viñales’ special podium celebrations with the Aprilia Racing Team.
As well as capturing the attention of millions of fans around the world on television, the helmet is also available in the MotoGP 24 game, allowing players to race with the same look as Viñales in their virtual competitions.
