It is well known that Mercedes puts many of its efforts as a company in the competition. So much so, that it has been in what is considered the queen for years: Formula 1. Part of that experience is carried over to its production cars and now we also see some influence on an aesthetic level. Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Motorsport Collectors Edition is a clear proof of this.
This is a limited special edition that aims to pay off Tribute to the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. Coinciding with the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix and with the good acceptance they have in the Asian market, they present this vehicle that has a good number of specific details. Just look at the obsidian black metallic color which colours its bodywork and has been taken from that of single-seater cars.
The livery of this Mercedes-AMG GT continues with a decoration of silver mercedes stars hand-painted and also some decorative stripes in Petronas colour. The front splitter, flics, side skirts and rear diffuser are also in this colour. On the other hand, it receives some 21-inch AMG forged wheels with a matte black finish, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R Cup tires and a carbon-ceramic brake system hidden inside.
As standard, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Motorsport Collectors Edition features a carbon fiber exterior packagewhich is present in several places. Also present are the AMG aerodynamics package, with a fixed spoiler on the tailgate, and the AMG Night II package to add more black elements.
The interior is decorated in the same style and has many details in Petronas colours. The leather and microfibre upholstery, the AMG carbon inserts and the Burmester High End 3D sound system stand out among its equipment. Its mechanics have not changed. 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8which delivers no less than 612 hp and has very outstanding performance. Only 200 units of this model will be made, the price of which has not been disclosed.
