Historic, legendary, iconic, so you can already qualify Michael Dunlop. If until recently it was already one of the most important pilots in the history of the Road Races and that of Man TT, there is no doubt that after the 2025 edition it will be the greatest of all time. After overcoming John McGuinness as the pilot with the most podiums, and being the one who has achieved the most victories, the Norirendés does not conform and has added his third victory of this edition and the 32 in his sports career on the island.
Dunlop is rapid and effective in all categories, but also with these two wins of the 2025 edition manages to remain unbeaten since 2022. Of course, Dunlop is having two major rivals this week. Dean Harrison, who won in Superstock, was second, and Superbike Davey Todd, third, and both have managed to climb to the podium on four and three occasions respectively in 2025.
Even so, Michael was building his rhythm and his victory little by little, with an advantage of two tenths over Harrison in the first step by Glen Helen, which climbed to the two seconds after passing through the Ballaugh control point. While Todd was on the prowl in direct fight with Harrisson, a pulse against the chrono that continued throughout the first round, and in which James Hillier joined the party and the fight for the podium.
Michael Dunlop cemented his victory in the second round
The turning point arrived in the second round, with Dunlop increasing its advantage at 15 seconds before stopping in boxes, where it wasted some time that it recovered during the third round, when the advantage increased by 21 seconds.
Already in the fourth and last lap, Dunlop visually reached Harrison, which assured him the 26 -second victory. A victory that, as we said, is the consecutive eighth, because it has not yielded any since 2022, and the fifteenth of the category. There is no doubt that Michael Dunlop is not only the king of the island, but also that of Supersport.

After Dunlop, Harrison and Todd, Meta Paul Jordan and James Hind crossed. Brookes, Brown, Herbeston, Hutchinson and Evans completed the Top10.
