Michael Dunlop makes history and Dean Harrison returns to the top

Implacable, demanding and with a plastic beauty out of all doubt, this is the IOM TT and we are living in the 2025 season. With the first running races we are attending another historical edition for the results of Michael Dunlop and also, for turns to the top as is the case of Dean Harrison.

Dunlop unstoppable: 31st victory and podium record

With the MD Racing Paton, Dunlop gave no option to his rivals in Superwin’s career. Output released, relentless rhythm and absolute domain over the most iconic layout on the planet. His initial lap closed it to 122 mph, opening a gap that would only grow up to 22 seconds of final advantage.

This new triumph not only represents its 31st victory in the IOM TT, but it allows you to overcome the myth John McGuinness in total number of podiums, with no less than 48 presences in the drawer. In addition, it is his second victory in this edition, after also conquering Supersport’s first career, and adds to a record that consecrates him as the best road of Road Races in history ahead of his uncle Joey (26 victories) and the aforementioned McGuinnes (23).

Michael Evans ended second with the Kawasaki ER-6F of the Dafabet Racing, on a day that was doubly special, since he achieved his first podium in the IOM TT and celebrated his thirty-second birthday. The third drawer went to Rob Hodson, which also premieres in the Top 3 of the event. Behind, illustrious names such as Paul Jordan, Davey Todd or Adam McLean completed a top-10 quality.

Dean Harrison breaks his drought six years later in Superstock

The category of Superstock, trimmed just two laps due to the capricious meteorology of the island, let us see the best Dean Harrison. The British pilot, always competitive but without victory since his senior TT of 2019, signed a brand of the house in the second round to looms of the Honda CBR1000RR-R.

Although Davey Todd’s BMW M1000RR came out like a missile and led during much of the first turn, Harrison was tenths until he passed to the attack on the mountain. In the final return, his rhythm was final: he won time in each sector and crossed a goal with 11 seconds of advantage, signing a return to 135.6 mph.

This triumph also supposes great news for Honda, which did not win a Superstock race in the TT since 2013. And if that were not enough, the podium closed again Michael Dunlop, which matched the McGuinness podium record before overcoming it a few hours later.

There is still TT ahead and we have Víctor López as Spanish representative

With victories already in the locker of Dunlop, Harrison and Todd, and the Crowe sweeping Sidecars, the TT 2025 is being one of the most exciting editions of recent times. The best thing is that there is still war on the Mountain Course, and everything can happen.

Meanwhile, we are still aware of the evolutions of Víctor López, the only Spanish present in the race and competes in Superwin and Supersport. Remember that López debuts at the TT after being the first Spanish to win on the island during the Manx GP in 2023.
