The 2025 MotoGP calendar promises us large doses of adrenaline and notable changes in terms of both the order in which the Grand Prix will take place, as well as the arrival of a new track and the return of a legendary circuit. At first glance it seems like a calendar that makes a lot of sense, in terms of optimizing trips and times with fewer linked races than usual. Surely it is something that those who work in the championship, in addition to the drivers themselves, will appreciate.
The main novelty that we find in the 2025 MotoGP calendar comes with the first Grand Prix of the season, which will not be the Qatar GP but will be the Thailand GP. It makes some sense because the last MotoGP preseason tests will be held on the same track. In addition, it will be a little earlier than usual, on March 2, something that lengthens the season but, at the same time, creates gaps throughout the season to rest.
Then comes the American tour with Argentina returning to the calendar to then cross the continent, reach the GP of the Americas before crossing half the world again and finally arriving in Qatar. Already in the last weekend of April, with four GPs contested, the time will come to come to Europe and it will be the Jerez Circuit with the Spanish GP that will be chosen.
From that moment on France, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Spain and Italy again… in a European stage in which we will see the return of the legendary Brno Autodrome and the arrival fifteen years later than planned for Balaton Park.
The final part of the season will also be different, since Thailand is at the beginning of the 2025 MotoGP calendar, there will only be four tests of the so-called “Asian tour” although in reality Australia is also in it.
What will be repeated is that the Malaysian GP will be the last before returning to Europe, specifically to Portugal and the Autódromo Internacional del Algarve, which will be the penultimate event of the 2025 season before returning to Spain to close the year in Valencia.

To the MotoGP 2025 calendar we must add both the pre-season tests and the post-GP tests that will be interspersed throughout the year. If we talk about the preseason and the first test in Barcelona has been completed, we are left with Sepang and Buriram, although in Sepang in addition to the official test there will be three days of “Shakedow” as usual. For their part, Moto2 and Moto3 will visit Portimao and Jerez.
Regarding the season tests, Jerez, MotorLand and Misano will be the tracks where they will work after the GP in a single day, while Moto2 and Moto3 will have their tests in Le Mans and Brno also after the GP.
