The MotoTurismo Awards Gala 2024 will celebrate its third edition within the incredible landscape framework that it offers us Canfranc. The unique town in the Aragonese Pyrenees will be the epicenter of multiple motorcycle-tourism activities in the region, providing a magnificent setting for the celebration of this renowned event.
As we already told you previously, the election of Canfranc as host of the 2024 MotoTurismo Awards gala is a consequence of the victory of the province of Huesca as the best National Route in 2023 with its initiative “Huesca la Magia en Ruta”, the TuHuesca promotion society (Tourism of the province of Huesca).
MotoTurismo Awards Gala 2024 in detail
Canfranc Estación is a privileged enclave that also has the Estación Internacional hotel, the only five-star hotel in all of Aragon. This tourist location had also emerged as the winner of the Corner of Interest trophy of the Community of Aragon. With the base of operations defined, the next thing was to plot a nice route for the morning of Saturday, June 15.
This is easy by linking the valleys in the heart of the highest peaks of the Pyrenees. Before leaving, the welcome bag consisting of the bib number, the road book and more gifts and souvenirs of your attendance will be delivered. The route will travel along some of the least known roads in Huesca, traveling through the Hecho and Ansó valleys, then crossing the Camino de Santiago, and passing by the legendary monastery of San Juan de la Peña.
A little further south, the route will stop at one of the most mythical places in Huesca for any fan of motorcycle tourism: the Anzánigo Camping. Its founder, the much-missed Emilio Moliné, was the driving force behind this first motorcycle campsite in Spain and installed, at the entrance to the campsite, the monument to Saint Glas, placing one of the legendary Spanish Sanglas motorcycles on a pedestal for posterity.
Here an aperitif with local products will be offered, and where the group photo and the drawing of magnificent gifts will be held, including a complete set of Continental tires. Returning to Canfranc through the port of Monrepos, it will be time to share a table and tablecloth at the Real Villa Anayet hotel & Spa, where participants will taste exquisite food.
All this together with some of the most recognized journalists and motorcycle testers in Spain and also with the 2024 honor award, Jaime Alguersuari. Jaime is an institution in the world of motorcycles in Spain.
Pilot, Spanish Endurance champion, founder of Solo Moto magazine and several competition and event organization companies. A true reference in the world of motorcycles in Spain, very loved and respected by fans.
After dinner, time to stroll through Canfranc Estación, next to the Aragón River, or have a coffee in one of the most spectacular hotels in Spain, before the 2024 Moto Turismo Awards Gala begins at seven in the afternoon at the same Canfranc Estación hotel.

The Gala will be attended by representatives of the public institutions of Aragon; Government, Provincial Council, Presidents of regions and city councils, also delegates of the majority of motorcycle brands sold in Spain, great Hispanic and American travelers, and many more public figures who are references in the world of motorcycle travel and tourism.
In the ceremony presented by Valentín Requena, the veteran voice of motorcycles in Spain, the awards will be presented to the fifteen categories competing in 2024. All of them represent the different sectors involved in the world of motorcycle travel.

The honorary award is the only one awarded at the discretion of the organization. All the others are the result of a secret vote by a multidisciplinary jury, made up of professionals and motorcycle and tourism fans.
The winning motorcycles will be chosen by secret vote of 49 specialized journalists, representing 30 different Spanish media outlets. All the winners of each category will be known when the corresponding envelope is opened by notable figures from the world of motorcycles and tourism.
