Old School atmosphere and dream preparations in a unique event

The United Kingdom is one of those oases where events like the Worship Motorcycle Show They are possible thanks, among other things, to the fact that in the country there are tons of very high-level preparations that are unthinkable in places with such restrictive laws in this regard, such as Spain, for example. And from there comes the passion and desire of one of its organizers, Gary Inman.

A versatile guy if there ever was one, who in addition to being a motor journalist or occasional driver, has also given shape to some of those customizations that take away the hiccups. To do this, he always has his sights set on what, for many, is the golden age of motorcycling.

We will refer to the last three decades of the last century, a time in which Inman and many of those who will be present at the Worship Moto Show have been inspired to design their iconic creations.

Worship Moto Show: Love for high-flying Old Schools

As the organization of the event explicitly explains, “The Worship Moto Show is a high-performance motorcycle showcase for specialty, custom and racing bikes.” That is why they also clarify that: “We have nothing against shed-built cafe racers built on a limited budget, but Worship is no show for those bikes.”

To give you an idea, the Worship Moto Show will feature preparations signed by the best preparers in the country, mounted on chassis made by such renowned brands as Spondon or Harris. Inman tells Visor Down colleagues that:

Worship Moto Show 2024: An event where mediocrity is prohibited from entering

“The idea behind the Worship Show came from a couple different directions. First there is the place. It is a stunning old church in Leeds. On the outside it is made of red brick, like the terraced houses that surround it, but on the inside it looks like an ancient cathedral. The bikes will look amazing there.”

And continues: “I always knew what kind of bikes I wanted to focus on: the bikes that people my age still call special, the kind of bikes that competed in Ultimate Streetbike and more current versions of them. The Bike Shed Show has a few each year, but ours is a show full of them.”

“The range is made up of 95 per cent Japanese inline-four performance bikes, dating from the 1980s (with models such as the Suzuki GSX1100ET and XR69 racing bikes) to the 2010s with winning superbikes. of the Isle of Man TT and modern custom superbikes, such as the Haxch Slabshot.”

Concludes: “In between there’s a mix of Harris and Spondon street bikes, a drag racer and one or two top speed bikes, Zephyrs, Zeds and a custom Desmosedici, if we’re lucky.”. The event will be attended by personalities from the world of two wheels such as Guy Martin or Team Classic Suzuki.
