The Grand Prix of Catalonia 2025 has been Márquez territory, but not in the way we are accustomed because it has been Álex that has taken the weight of the competition throughout the weekend. He has been the great dominator and only a failure during the Sprint race on Saturday deprives him of a perfect weekend.
On the other hand we have a Marc who has known how to swim and save the clothes and on a clue where he has never felt especially comfortable and in which, in fact, he has only won two GP in MotoGP, he was patient, he did not make mistakes and despite not winning Sunday in Catalonia, it is reinforced in the leadership.
A little mistake and Álex left in the hands of Marc la Victoria
As we said, Álex Márquez has been intractable in the GP of Catalonia. Álex recognized, after the race in the GP of Catalonia, that he had relaxed in excess and that relaxation gave way to a new victory in the Sprint of Marc, he has expired 14 of the 15 Saturday races. Controlling, learning from mistakes and achieving a very special victory because unlike Jerez’s, where there could be the unfair doubt what Marc would have done not to fall, in this GP of Catalonia first he advanced it and then bent it to show that when Álex has the day and despite his style difference it is as competitive as Marc or more.
A Marc that was good for the second position in a complicated weekend for him, as usually happens in Montmeló, but that, thanks to Saturday’s victory, makes him more leader of the Catalan layout. Right now there are 18 stitches against his brother, who although they are not enough to proclaim champion the weekend in Misano, they are more than enough to be able to administer them and crowned in Japan or Indonesia.
The Márquez dominance should not dazzle the great work of the KTM pilots all weekend of the GP of Catalonia, with an Enea Bastianini that succeeded in the choice of tires to complete the podium overcoming a Acosta that was fourth, but with a soft rear tire that could not endure the entire race.

Fabio Quartararo was also able to endure the rhythm and this time he did not go back, getting a great fifth position in this GP of Catalonia and keeping an ogura at bay that was the best April. As complicated as Pecco’s situation seems third in the general with 40 points ahead of Bezzecchi that is fourth. A bezzecchi that, by the way, leaves the GP of Catalonia with zero points. Returning to the race and to complete the “Top10” we found a Luca Marini who was fighting for the top5 to end eighth, a Miguel Ángel Oliveira who has been much more competitive this weekend than we had seen so far and a Jorge Martín who without feeling comfortable ended on Sunday tenth.

And now, after this perfect weekend of the Márquez in the newly played GP of Catalonia, the championship does not rest and Misano awaits which will be the last European race before the so -called “Asian tour” where, except catastrophe, Marc will return with his ninth title under his arm.
