OSSA announces its return for 2025, a decade after its last commercial adventure

Ossa (Orpheo Sincronic Sociedad Anónima), the historic Spanish motorcycle brand with more than seven decades of experience in the industry, has just announced its new and ambitious project: a range of motorcycles that it will develop in collaboration with BTWICE Engineering. Alexandre Laplazaco-owner of the brand, stressed that:

“Ossa has always represented innovation and excellence in motorcycling. “With BTWICE as our ally, we are ready to redefine the future of the brand, offering motorcycles that respect our heritage and respond to today’s consumer demands.”

Ossa returns stronger than ever

After its first commercial stage from the late 1940s to 1984, the brand returned in 2008 with Gurt and Jordi Cuxart at the helm of a project focused on the design and manufacture of trial motorcycles. By 2010 they had their first motorcycle ready, the OSSA TR 280i, which was followed by the TR125i in 2013 and the TR300i shortly after. However, after its association with GASGAS in 2012 and the purchase of the latter by Torrot, the future of OSSA was compromised again shortly afterwards, eventually leading to its closure.

Now, as explained by the company’s management, the new range of Ossa motorcycles will be presented in 2025 and will seek to attract both classic motorcycle enthusiasts and a new generation of motorcyclists looking for innovation and sustainability. For this they have BTWICE, a company specialized in innovative solutions in the motorcycle industry.

The legendary Spanish brand OSSA announces its return for 2025 a decade after its last commercial adventure

With headquarters in Girona and delegation in Jakarta, Indonesia, BTWICE Engineering was founded in 2011 by Boris and Alex, who met while working at the OSSA factory in its previous stage. Since then they have been part of projects such as the design and development of the Ossa Explorer, the GasGas Enduro “Phoenix”, the Vertigo Nitro or the design and production of assembly tools for the Stark Future Varg model.

Now they claim to be “committed to the development of the new range of motorcycles, which will evoke the essence of the motorcycles that made OSSA famous, but adapted to the new expectations of a modernized market.”

Without a doubt, a project that sounds hopeful to recover such iconic acronyms as OSSA, a reference brand in our country during the 50s and 60s of the last century.
