Honda celebrates Hello Kitty’s 50th Anniversary in style with a very special edition of the Super Cub

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the birth of Hello Kitty, Honda will launch on the market next December, exclusively for Japan, a limited edition of its Super Cub, in 50 and 110 cc versions. A very special way to remember the half-century of the character’s life, the work of the Japanese designer Yuko Shimizu.

In fact, it is not the first time that Honda pays tribute to Hello Kitty with one of its models. Just a few months ago the brand with the golden wing presented the “Hello Kitty Honda Scoopy”, a special edition intended for the Thai market.

This one had details, such as the red bow on the pedals and the headdress next to the headlights, they are ingenious touches that do not go unnoticed. The floor is Hong Kong red, and even the round mirrors are black, with stylish contrasting white panels on the back.

These have a specific decoration that highlights the Hello Kitty logo on the front of the leg protector and on the side of the rear fender. The well-known cartoon character is designed on the back of the seat and on the left and right side covers.

An inscription is featured on the front emblem and inside the gauge, and the 50th anniversary logo is designed on the ignition key. The established color on both versions is Magna Red, which matches the Hello Kitty image.

As announced by the brand itself, only 1,300 units of this limited edition Super Cub Hello Kitty, of which 300 will be destined for the 50 cc version and the rest for the Super Cub 110. Let us remember that these two versions have a 4-stroke, air-cooled single-cylinder engine with 3.7 and 8 HP respectively at 7,500 rpm in both cases.
