We love seeing how Pol Tarrés does mischief with his Yamaha Ténéré 700 throughout the world. The Catalan rider has been gaining popularity thanks to his mastery with a motorcycle that, a priori, was not the most suitable for doing this type of challenge. Challenges that have ranged from jumping a canyon in Morocco, to climbing 6,157.5 meters high to become the highest human being who has ridden a motorcycle, to his participation in the Ezbergrodeo.
All these adventures, plus all those that we can see on his own social networks, have made Pol Tarrés admired both within our borders and abroad, and it is no wonder. And when one has the gift and the audacity to attempt certain achievements, it is only fair to recognize it.
This year Tarrés was participating in the Africa Eco Race, which commemorates the mythical Dakar and which starts in Monaco and ends precisely in the capital of Senegal. In fact, in the first stage he managed to finish in third position and things were looking pretty good until a bad accident during the second stage dispute, between Tarda and Tagounite, left him out of action.
Tarrés was fighting for first place in the Africa Eco Race
Pol suffered a hard fall that took him away from the competition and although he is now recovering, the first minutes after the fall were difficult. And, as Tarrés himself recognized through his social profiles, he had suffered the biggest fall of his sports career, spending several minutes unconscious.
There are few details of the accident that we know, but we do know that the blow was in the head and neck area and that he was unconscious for between 5 and 8 minutes, something that logically alarmed the rest of the competitors to whom Tarrés thanks the help . Subsequently, and as shown in the images that Pol himself has uploaded to the networks, he was transported by helicopter and now, given the severity of the accident, he is fine.
From SoyMotero.net we wish Pol a speedy and good recovery. We are looking forward to seeing you once again soar through the sky and land with your Ténéré 700 or any other machine you get on.
