Rio de Janeiro has earned the right to host the official presentation of the next MotoGP season on February 21, 2027which will bring one of the most important global championship events to Brazil, and will place the city at the center of the sporting world ahead of the new MotoGP season.
The main event of the “Season Launch” is scheduled to take place on Botafogo beach, creating a spectacular setting at the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain for the official presentation of the 2027 MotoGP season.

The announcement comes after the great success of MotoGP’s return to Brazil in 2026, in which the sold-out Goiânia Grand Prix weekend, welcomed almost 150,000 spectatorswhich reaffirmed the country’s passion for motorcycle racing and its position as one of the most dynamic markets in the championship.
Building on that momentum, Rio de Janeiro will now take center stage as the host city of MotoGP’s flagship pre-season event, showcasing its internationally renowned landmarks alongside its proven ability to deliver world-class sporting and entertainment spectacles.
