Royal Enfield continues to do its thing, surpassing the number of copies sold year after year. In this past 2024 the figure amounts to a total of 944,000 unitsrepresenting a increase compared to the previous year of 4.7%. Currently, it is the tenth largest motorcycle manufacturer globally, as detailed in the report presented by Motorcycles Data.
Royal Enfield in full commercial expansion
There is no doubt that the brand has become one of the most relevant brands, within the motorcycle sector, worldwide. It is the largest motorcycle manufacturer today if we exclude from the equation those business groups focused on the segments that include scooter and moped models.
As explained in the report itself, “Royal Enfield is a great success story that began when its owner, Eicher Motor, decided in 2013 to build a new, modern plant in Oragadam, India, the base for volume expansion. If in 2012 global sales were only 113,000, 99.9% manufactured in India, in 2025 the milestone of 1 million annual sales will be reached.”
And continues: “Sales growth was constant in the Indian region (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and others) with +4.3%, but was relevant in North America (+11.6%) and in LATAM (+ 14.0%). Sales were also positive in ASEAN (+7.3%) and Western Europe (+3.1%).”
This year, a multitude of new features are expected within the Royal Enfield range, especially those related to the arrival of new “seven and a half” variants to replace the current 650.
Important announcements are also expected about the range of electric models that the brand is already working on, as well as the presentation of new ones using the already known conventional engines.
