One of the latest developments in the Royal Enfield range is this special series Classic 350 Gorkha Editionrecently presented to the Indian media. Inspired by the legacy of Gorkha Regimentthis new version of the Classic 350 pays tribute “to generations of bravery, discipline and endurance, maintaining the timeless essence of the motorcycle and an authentic riding experience”they say from the brand.
During the official launch event, Yadvinder Singh GuleriaCommercial Director of Royal Enfield, stated: “With the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition, we pay tribute to an extraordinary military legacy defined by bravery, loyalty and absolute honor. Every detail remains true to the timeless character of the Classic 350, while the personalized Gorkha insignia evokes the values that have defined this regiment for generations.”
A historic military symbol
Based on Royal Enfield’s design philosophy, the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition was conceived as a tribute to the men of the Gorkha Military Regiment. It stands out for its finish in a distinctive Gorkha Green, an intense and striking color gives the iconic silhouette of the model a new depth and character, while a personalized insignia with the legendary crusader Khukris (traditional curved knife) becomes its hallmark.
Technically, there are no variations with respect to the standard platform that gives life to the model. Starting with its 349 cc single-cylinder engine with air-oil cooling and 2 overhead valves, associated with a 5-speed gearbox. The brand declares a final power of 20.2 HP at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of maximum torque at 4,000 revolutions, with a top speed of 114 km/h.
In the chassis part, its double steel cradle chassis stands out along with a 41 mm telescopic fork and a pair of lateral shock absorbers. For braking, this Classic 350 Gorkha Edition mounts one disc per axle: 300 mm at the front and 270 mm in diameter at the rear. These are powered by dual-piston calipers at the front and single-piston calipers at the rear, signed by Bybre.
The assembly rests on radial wheels shod with tires measuring 100/90-19 and 120/80-18, front and rear respectively. As for the rest of the technical characteristics that define the model in general and this special series in particular, Royal Enfield points out that they continue to have “its characteristic upright driving position and its refined J-series engine.”

The Classic 350 Gorkha Edition is now available
After its presentation, the brand announced the opening of the reservation period for this Classic 350 Gorkha Edition with an official starting price of about 1,915 euros at the exchange rate. In addition, as a complement to the motorcycle, the brand also unveiled the “Gorkha Collection”, an exclusive range of inspired clothing and equipment “in the bravery and discipline of the Gorkha Regiment.”
This includes several models of helmets, high aged leather boots, hats and casual clothing.
