We continue in the wheel of renewals, goodbyes and signings. We knew that after the official teams it was the turn of the “satellites”, and Gresini Racing has been the first to confirm 100% its lineup for next season. A decision that will in turn have repercussions on the gaps that remain to be filled, but that also means that the structure directed by Nadia Padovani will continue to have two Spanish pilots.
Until Marc Márquez arrived at the Italian structure, where he met his brother Álex, they had usually had at least one Italian driver such as Bastianini or Di Giannantonio, among others. But since then, it seems that the formula has not displeased the team created by Fausto at all. After Marc left, the position was “inherited” by Fermín Aldeguer, and in 2027, when both Fermín and Álex leave, they will continue with the same formula.

In fact we can say that, in a certain way, the concept of each of the two pilots that arrives is repeated. On the one hand we have Joan Mir, who will arrive from Honda after suffering with a motorcycle that does not live up to his expectations, and with which he has not been able to get where both parties would have wanted. That’s exactly what happened in his moment with Álex.
Meanwhile, the second rider remembers Aldeguer in the sense that he is a young promise who comes from Moto2, after having a great first year in the category but who is suffering a little more in this second year. We are talking about Dani Holgado, who in 2025 achieved two victories and a total of five podiums, and who arrives as one of the great promises.
Both have been confirmed with a difference of just over two hours, and with the peculiar style that characterizes Gresini Racing on their social networks. Although there is a lot of hope placed in both and both have shown to have great talent, the truth is that the mirror in which they will have to defend the colors that in recent years has grown to the point of achieving several victories in the hands of Marc, Álex and Aldeguer and a runner-up finish like last season by Álex Márquez himself. A challenge for which, at least in theory, they will have some of the best allies on the grid.
