After the domain we have seen since the Round of the Czech Republic of Toprak Razgatlioglu, the options that the same thing happened in Motorland Aragón again were quite high. But the races are always unpredictable, and more when the two best pilots in the category have the title at stake.
And that moves to each session of free, superpole, to each race … Everything counts and you always have to be one step ahead. So Bulega hit first getting the superpole, but that was only the appetizer of what was to come.
SBK Aragón – Carrera 1: Toprak adds its thirteenth consecutive victory
If on Friday and Saturday morning the battle had been against the chrono, when the red traffic light went out it became direct. The Turk and the Italian began a spectacular race in which Razgatlioglu managed to place himself first at the exit, while Bulgaa fell to third place.
But unlike other occasions, Bulla reacted quickly and recovered his head before finishing the first round. From there the attacks between the BMW and Ducati pilot were happening, although the right thing would be to talk about the attacks of the Ducati pilot to BMW’s, who brought the rhythm of the race while Bulega tried by all means to advance.
Even in the last round Bulega tried luck again, but it was not possible to overcome a toprak that scored the victory for only 30 thousandths. Sam Lowes, who had already managed to be third in the superpole, endured the rhythm of both to cross finish to less than a second of them after enjoying the recital in the first person.
Danilo Petrucci, Alex Lowes, Andrea Iannone, Andrea Locatelli, Axel Bassani, Xavi Vierge and Michael van Der Mark completed the top10 of which Tito Rabat stayed out, which ended the 17 and Álvaro Bautista who went to the ground when he fought for the fourth position.
SBK Aragón – Superpole Race: The backlash arrived
After trying on Saturday by all media, on Sunday Bulega did not forgive even though the fight was spectacular again. From the same beginning of the race, both pilots were fighting for the head, with practically continuous overtaking and with either of them giving in the least to their rival.
With the victory in mind by both of them, the laps were passed and they reached the last round when in a spectacular maneuver in Curves 16 and 17 of Motorland Aragón Bulega managed to advance to cross the finish line in first position by 105 thousandths in front of a toprak that he saw as his streak of consecutive victories came to an end.
While the two struggled to win, Álvaro Bautista was close to them waiting for a moment he could not arrive, but that took him to a great third position ahead of Andrea Iannone, with Sam Lowes and Álex Lowes as fifth and sixth classified respectively.
SBK Aragón – Carrera 2: Nicolo finishes and encourages the championship
What we had lived in the first two races of the weekend we lived again at the beginning of race 2, although this time Bulega had something more stored and demonstrated it getting escape from the Turk.
In the end Nicolo achieved the second victory of the weekend and, more importantly, the first in a complete race from race 2 of the Czech Republic. For his part, Razgatlioglu ensured a new podium, minimizing damage and following depending on him to win the championship. And if in Portugal or Jerez it is second in all races, the title will be for him.
To finish a great weekend of Ducati, the third place in the podium was again for a Álvaro Bautista who continues to work to close the year in the top3 of the championship, an objective that has 31 points away and that would be easier if bad luck would not have accompanied him this season. And it is that the Talaverano, beyond the fall of Motorland, has seen how other weekends he was involved in falls that he had no blame.
Andrea Iannone achieved the fourth position with Jonathan Rea in a good fifth place in one of her best results so far this season. Alex Lowes, Andrea Locatelli, Danilo Petrucci, Axel Bassani and Xavi Vierge completed the top10.
