On paper, everything was quite hand in hand with Marc Márquez to reach his seventh MotoGP title, and ninth with that of 125 and Moto2 in the Japan GP. 93 was enough to add three more points than his brother Álex, the only pilot who has so far been able to follow the distance rhythm.
What was not easy to count was the reappearance of Pecco Bagnaia, who after the tests in Misano was very comfortable on a track that, a priori, should not be the most indicated for a pilot who has been having trouble stopping the motorcycle all season. Thus, the official Ducati duo began to monopolize all eyes and from training where, by the way, Bagnaia achieved pole for thousandths on an exceptional Joan Mir.
Swim and save clothes, Marc’s goal in Japan. Swim with everything, Pecco’s
With Bagnaia without further pressure than marking the rhythm (which is not little), the sprint race began on Saturday. But the emotion of the beginning gave way to an overwhelming moment when Martín lost control of his April to take his partner Bezzecchi with his own body. Unfortunately for Martin, he was injured by breaking his clavicle, but again and despite everything, luck accompanied him when leaving with an injury lower than what could have happened analyzing the images.

And while, like life itself, the race continued with a safe, fine, fast Bagnaia that began to carve the victory in the Sprint while Marc struggled to overcome Mir first and next toy. When he surpassed both of them, he no longer had time to get to Bagnaia, who achieved victory with Marc Segundo and Pedro Tercero.
Mir crossed a fourth goal, with Morbidelli Quinto, Quartararo Sixth, Marini Seventh, Raúl Fernández Eighth and Ninth Ogura and closing the points stalls. Álex Márquez, with problems, ended tenth and without taking any point, which meant that on Sunday Marc had to lose six points compared to his brother to sentence the title.
Pecco shone again and Marc even more
On Sunday everything revolved around the title, everything was about to decide and the race was nothing more than the procedure that had to happen to know if Marc Márquez’s ninth championship, and seventh on MotoGP, would arrive in Japanese lands or would have to wait for another week.
Bagnaia embroidered the exit again to put themselves in front and leave everyone behind and meanwhile, Marc was not as fast at the exit as he has accustomed us this year, and lost a position that put him back to fight with Acosta and Mir. So while Bagnaia made his career, Marc was gradually recovering although, being honest and objectives, it was noted that there was much more at stake than a simple podium.
Gigi, what reason you were with Marc Márquez 🙌

A Marc that has been an sponator all season made some slight mistake, but who can blame him? Even so and while Bagnaia’s motorcycle began to throw white smoke, Marc cut him away. A little more tension in every way because, on the one hand, Bagnaia had shone again to take out his talent leaving behind the bad sensations of this year, and that the motorcycle stopped or disqualified him due to technical issues would have been a jug of cold water.
At the same time, that tension grew because, as Mir acknowledged in the pre-power, “imagine that I would have fallen by your oil.” Taking into account that there was no sliding track fall, we must admit that career address made the right decision but, also, that it was risky and that is something that they must check for the future because just like it went well what would have happened if it had not been so?
The fact is that Bagnaia, with a perfect performance, achieved the triplet over the weekend and Marc, after climbing to the second position his tenth fourth podium of the season, with 11 victories included, and most importantly, his ninth title of world champion of motorcycling. It is now at the level of Valentino Rossi and Mike Hailwood titles and ahead, always talking about speed, they are only grandson with 12+1 and Agostini with 15.

The podium was completed by a superb Joan Mir, who has shone at Honda’s house with a motorcycle that seems that little by little he is approaching the performance of the head. Bezzecchi, after Saturday’s fall, added a fourth place that knows little, since his main rival in the provisional right now, Bagnaia, has endorsed 24 points this weekend. Discreet but effective, Morbidelli added another fifth place ahead of an Álex Márquez Sixth who now has to recover his sensations to ensure runner -up and is still 66 points about Bagnaia that, well -administered, should be enough to achieve the runner -up and make history with his brother.
Raúl Fernández, in another weekend consistent, managed to be seventh with Quartararo eighth, Zarco Ninth and Aldeguer tenth. Acosta, after fighting for the podium and starting to lose positions, ended up leaving track at the end of line and although he resumed the march he could only end tenth seventh.
