A milestone that deserves a limited edition like the one that has just been launched on the local market. Well, we are really talking about two special series based on the current GSX-8S and GSX-S1000. Only 50 units of each of them will be sold. and in both cases they enjoy a truly iconic livery.

A 50th Anniversary full of successes

Two limited series with “80s flavor”

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Japanese subsidiary in Germany, they have created one of those initiatives that are so popular among two-wheel fans in general and lovers of Old school decorations in particular. The new GSX-8S and GSX-S1000 Special Edition look “an exclusive retro design that reinterprets the racing DNA of the 80s”as stated by the brand itself.

In the case of the GSX-8S, the special equipment includes a sports cover for the passenger seat and a striking front spoiler. The GSX-S1000 Special Edition is equipped with a smoked front windscreen, passenger seat cover and an adhesive kit on the wheels. Beyond the aesthetic changes, Suzuki has decided to keep the cycle part of both models unchanged.

On the mechanical side, the GSX-8S is equipped with a 776 cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, cooled by water and associated with a 6-speed transmission. It has final dimensions of 84.0 mm x 70.0 mm, while the compression reaches 12.8:1. Delivers a power of 83 HP at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 78 Nm at 6,800 rpmdeclaring an average consumption of 4.2 l/100 km.

For its part, the GSX-S1000 goes one step further in terms of performance thanks to its 999 cc four-cylinder engine capable of developing a final power of 152 HP. Now, thanks to this new 50th Anniversary decoration, the model “perfects the naked style down to the last detail, while the brutal power of its four-cylinder engine will instantly quicken your pulse”conclude from Suzuki.

Availability and prices

Both 50th Anniversary limited series are now available at the brand’s official dealers in Germany. With only 50 copies of each of them, this special edition is only available for the German market with recommended prices of 9,890 and 14,290 euros respectively.
