With the return of the Tour de France for its 113th edition, Continental once again supports the race with its tire technology throughout the event. This 2026 edition will have a special meaning for Spanish fans as Spain is the country chosen to host the start of the test, which is held from July 4 to 26 and will travel 3,333 kilometers throughout 21 stages, from Barcelona to Paris.
The Tour bikes are also shod with Continental tires
From start to finish Continental will supply more than 1,000 tires for bicycles, 400 for support vehicles and 120 for motorcycles, serving a fleet of more than 70 vehicles and 30 units of Kawasaki Versys 1100. The latter accompany the organization of the race, and its pilots and are responsible for supplying water to the runners and transmitting important information from the management.
Like last year, the crossover bikes are equipped with ContiRoadAttack 4 tires. Designed to meet the demands that the Tour imposes, rapid warm-up and constant grip in widely varying conditions, the spectrum ranges from single-digit temperatures in rain-soaked Alpine or Pyrenean passes to the scorching heat of the stages in the south of France.

Whether riding close behind the pack on tight mountain roads or on fast-paced stretches through the French countryside, this hypertouring tire offers an equally high level of safety, response and control. The performance demonstrated during last season’s race laid the foundations for the continuation of this collaboration between Continental, ASO and Kawasaki.
The technology present in 6 teams of the Tour de France 2026
In addition to supplying tires to the motorcycles that serve as support in the Tour, Continental will also do the same with 6 teams participating in this Tour de France 2026, which represents more than a quarter of the peloton.
- Groupama-FDJ United
- UAE Team Emirates – XRG
- Movistar Team
- Bahrain Victorious
- Decathlon CMA CGM AG2R La Mondiale
- Uno-X Mobility

Finally, Continental’s vehicle equipment in this year’s Tour includes the UltraContact NXT, along with the EcoContact 6 and the PremiumContact 7, highlighting the importance of constant performance to help the teams throughout three weeks of racing in different conditions and terrain.
