The Yamaha R7 CUP prepares for its fourth edition, after consolidating as one of the most accessible, affordable and exciting competitions of speed motorcycling. This year’s great novelty is its integration into the calendar of the Spanish Superbike Championship (Esbk) and of the Royal Spanish Motorcyclist Federation (RFME), which will further raise the quality and relevance of the competition.
Yamaha R7 Cup 2025 in detail
The Monomarca Cup, which already has its open inscriptions, will have a first level calendar, which will consist of 10 races distributed in five appointments that will tour the best circuits in the country. The first one will be on March 22 and 23 at the Jerez – Ángel Nieto circuit. In addition, the best pilots of the national phase will be measured against the fastest in other European countries in the R7 Superfinale.
This event, organized by Yamaha Europe, will be within the Bol d’Or – last the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) test, which will be played on September 19 and 20 in Paul Ricard. For new pilots who have acquired or will acquire a YZF-R7, the price is 6,789 euros, and for those who rent it, the registration will be 6,999 euros. Those who repeat with the same R7 last year, will only have to pay 1,249 euros to participate. To adapt to the maximum to the different types of pilots, the championship will be structured in three categories: Masterreserved for participants 40 years and older; Rookiefor those with two years or less of experience in competition nationwide; and R7 CUPthe only one that gives direct access to the superfinale. As for the age requirements, participants They must be at least 15 years old and no more than 65 yearsor turn 66 during the current year. Likewise, in order to access the R7 Superfinale, the FIM regulations establish that Pilots must be between 18 and 50 years old.
Throughout the season, trophies will be granted for each race and category. At the end of the championship, the first three classified of each class will receive exchangeable vouchers for original spare parts and accessories Yamaha: 2,000 euros for the winner, 1,000 for the second and 500 for the third. Likewise, a specific award for the best mechanic will be awarded. As in the previous edition, Yamaha Spain will reward the “R7 Cup Spirit”, a recognition based on values such as companionship, effort, respect and motivation.
This award, voted by the pilots themselves, will grant an economic bonus of 2,000 euros to the winner, 1,500 to second and 1,000 to the third. The three best classified from the national phase, which will obtain their pass to the R7 Superfinale to represent Spain, will have a bonus of 1,500 euros to compensate for their career expenses and the winner of this final will obtain a YZF-R7 2026.
