The Asian brand’s bet for the A2 trail segment arrives

After its official presentation last March in China, the new QJ Engine SRT 600 It seems that it could end up landing in the brand’s official dealerships in Europe for the next season, as confirmed by the German media Motorrad Online. A bike that stands out for its high level of equipment for a mid-range model.

With this model, the Asian firm replaces the previous generation SRT 600, which at that time was equipped with a four-cylinder engine, offering 81 HP of power. Now QJMotor follows the almost obligatory trend of mounting an inline twin-cylinder engine, as it already does with its models baptized under the commercial name 550.

QJMotor SRT 600: Premium equipment at a bargain price

It is precisely this same engine, already seen in other motorcycles of the brand, which drives the new SRT 600. We are talking about a DOHC, 8-valve twin-cylinder 554 cc equipped with liquid cooling, electronic fuel injection, electric start and electronic ignition. It is associated with a 6-speed gearbox and claims, in the Chinese version, 61 HP of power.

However, in Europe, due to the requirements of the current regulations governing the A2 license, QJ Motor limits the power of this engine, in models such as the SRT 550X 2023, to 47.5 hp at 7,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 51.0 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Most likely, these would be the performance figures that the SRT 600 would declare if it finally reached our borders.

Beyond the performance levels that the SRT 600 can offer, it stands out for the very high level of standard equipment it comes with. Among its most notable elements we can find Full-LED lighting, a 7-inch full-colour TFT screen, a voice assistant, turn-by-turn navigation, a front recording camera, heated grips and seat and adjustable handlebar tilt.

We also find a suspension system, with an inverted front fork signed by Marzocchi, or a Brembo braking system with a double 320 mm disc on its front axle and four-piston radial calipers.

All this is accompanied by the possibility of choosing between a variant focused on road tourism, with 17” alloy wheels, or a second version equipped with radial wheels and mixed tires prepared to launch into the mud.

Currently, the brand offers its SRT 550 model, in standard and “X” versions for a price starting from 5,999 euros.
