No one can doubt Benda’s technological and commercial credibility anymore. The Chinese brand never ceases to surprise us through the constant evolution of its wide range of models. It includes options as interesting as Chinchilla 500a mount that is ready to make the leap towards what will now be its second generation.
It also does so as is customary within the Asian firm, offering a technological plus, thus becoming an even more attractive option.
Benda Chinchilla 500 2026: what we know
Approximately two years have passed since Benda launched the Chinchilla 500. A few months before, the Chinchilla 550 CVT V2 was unveiled on the occasion of the 2024 Beijing Motorcycle Show, a model that has not finally reached the brand’s European dealerships. What does seem like it will do so is this new variant with an electronic clutch similar to what has already been seen in other brands.
As we already told you in this article, last June 2025, Benda unveiled its own version of the electronic clutch on the recently presented Rock 707. The same system was known to end up being extrapolated to other models of the brand, an initiative that is finally confirmed with the launch of the next generation of the Chinchilla 500.
In addition, the latter will increase its maximum power from the current 47 HP. up to 54 hp of the new generation. The reason is none other than the increase in displacement, going from the 475.6 cc of the 2025 model to the exact 500 cc that the next generation will enjoy:
“The 69mm bore remains unchanged, as revealed by the engine codename, 2V69, so those extra cubic centimeters must come from a longer stroke, which goes from 63.6mm to 66.9mm.”as confirmed by Cycle World.
Other identifying details of this evolution of the well-known Chinchilla 500 would be:
- Longer rear fender
- Double exhaust outlet, now one on each side of the bike
- New turbine style headlight inherited from the Benda LFC700, etc.
Perhaps the most striking aspect of the new model is found in its bodywork, specifically in the finish of the side panels that surround the fuel tank. We assume that the color scheme is what offers this optical effect and that therefore we are not talking about natural wood, something quite unlikely. Even more so taking into account the element they are in charge of protecting.
For now we do not have official data confirmed by the brand itself, so it is difficult to know when the second generation of the chinchilla 500 will be officially launched on the market. Currently, the 2024 model is marketed in our country at an official price of 6,250 eurosa rate that we assume will not vary too much with respect to the new model.
