A model that will be manufactured by Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL)the motorcycle subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation in India, although the Japanese firm affirms that its export will reach other places on the planet.

In the brief official statement published by the brand, they define this new Burgman Street 2026 as a “luxury scooter designed for everyday use, such as going to work or school.” We already know that luxury can be very relative according to the criteria of the person who experiences it, but above all the place where this happens. In any case, what Suzuki can boast of is an important renewal of the model, where the design has been modernized and the equipment has been improved.
Regarding the latter, the brand will offer the model in two equipment finishes, where one called “TFT Edition” includes as standard, in addition to a keyless start system that allows you to start the engine with the smart key, a TFT color screen with smartphone connectivity. It also sports a two-tone finish where all the color schemes offered are with a matte finish.
On a mechanical level, the engine has been updated through revisions to its internal components and adjustments. Maximum torque is achieved at low revs, ensuring fuel efficiency and providing the acceleration needed for smooth urban driving. Suzuki declares a final power of 8.3 HP at 6,500 rpm and 10.2 Nm of torque when the propeller rotates around 5,250 revolutions.
Regarding its chassis, the brand states that the chassis has also been updated, achieving a weight reduction of approximately 500 grams and a 25% improvement in torsional rigidity. They comment in this regard: “These improvements optimize straight-line stability and handling, delivering agile handling“. The base version of the Burgman Street approves a total weight of 114 kilogramswith a wheelbase of 1,285 mm and a seat-to-ground height of only 775 mm.
This ergonomic triangle offers a good driving position as well as facilitating maneuvers while stationary. Additionally, for added convenience, Suzuki has incorporated an ignition switch that allows you to unlock the fuel tank cap and under-seat storage compartment. The capacity of the latter has also been expanded, allowing a full-face helmet to be stored.
With an initial price that starts at approximately 105,000 rupees in the standard variant, about 970 euros at the exchange rate, the new Burgman Street 2026 will begin to be sold in Indian dealerships starting this April and will then begin exporting to more than 100 countries and regions, as confirmed by the Japanese firm itself.
