Dodge is one of those brands that creates vehicles that are forbidden fruits in markets like ours. They have always been very focused on the United States and their availability is limited outside their native country. However, it has been confirmed that the Dodge Charger will arrive in Europe to the joy of many followers of the brand. One of the muscle car par excellence will reach our continent, presumably during the next 2025and in different versions.
The most logical thing would have been to think that we would only have the Charger Daytona available, the all-electric variant which many describe as sacrilege. This example will be sold in the two announced versions, with an access version and another Scat Pack with a double motor that exceeds 600 HP, both with a 100.5 kWh battery capacity. It also seems that the combustion ones will arrive, which have the 3.0-liter inline-six Hurricane engine. In this case, there will be an access version with just over 400 HP and a top of the range that reaches up to 550 HP.
This is possible mainly due to two things. The first is that Dodge is under the Stellantis umbrellaa manufacturer with a large presence in Europe and that facilitates distribution and other aspects. The second is that Dodge is ditching the V8 HEMI engine of its range, a decision that caused much controversy. The new six-cylinder is more suitable for European emissions regulations and could reach some markets. In any case, the gasoline ones will not have a manual transmission, they will have the new eight-speed automatic transmission.
The arrival of the Dodge Charger in Europe will occur during the second half of 2025, according to a spokesperson for the brand. It will be right on par with the landing in the Middle Eastanother market in which the American firm wants to gain presence. The order of arrival of the versions is not yet known, although it is expected that on our continent give priority to the electric Charger Daytona. It is also necessary to see if the plans are fulfilled after the abrupt departure of Carlos Tavares as the highest authority of Stellantis.
