When it hit the market, in fact before it did, the Yamaha Ténéré 700 caused quite a stir. The expectation was maximum and the Japanese motorcycle did not disappoint. But that does not mean that Yamaha is not working on a new version that is capable of surpassing its predecessor.
In fact, and although this trail with clear off-road aspirations has had very good reviews, there are always points where you can go a step further to find an authentic adventurous trail with a rally motorcycle vocation. What's more, we can say that the Yamaha Ténéré 700 has made brands look at the segment in a different way again.
The fact is that almost six years have passed since its presentation and, it seems, that Yamaha is working hard on the new model, as the friends of Motorrad have been able to photograph. It is obvious that we are looking at a test bike that has also been conveniently hidden so that as few changes as possible can be seen.
The changes that the new Yamaha Ténéré 700 2025 will have
Even so, important changes can be seen in several points. One of the most notable is the front, where you can even see a new headlight that puts an end to the four lenses that the current model has.
But there are also much more substantial changes than the aesthetic change, and that is that the chassis looks different. In fact, one of the points that users who used the Yamaha Ténéré 700 in a more extreme way asked for a harder shock absorber, and it is most likely that this change is what has unleashed a series of chain changes in the rest of the the cycle part.
Also appreciated is the linkage system, which apparently is quite handmade, so it cannot be ruled out that in this search for a different behavior of the rear axle, they are trying different solutions.
In any case, what does seem clear is that the new Yamaha Ténéré 700, which could hit the market next year, is going to take a step forward. Regarding the engine, which is also quite protected, not many changes can be seen, so we will have to wait to find out if there are modifications beyond its adaptation to Euro 5+.
