The Chinese manufacturer, known in Spain for its brands Omoda and Jaecoowants to transfer its experience in electrification to the motorcycle sector, as we already told you not too long ago. In addition to these two projects, which we are going to talk to you about now, the slant-eyed giant has already registered another product in China, an electric moped.
Chery Grow C3: an electric one with a gasoline generator
Without a doubt, the Grow C3 It is the most striking proposal. It is the first cruiser type motorcycle in the world that incorporates artificial intelligence and extended range electric technology. Yes, use a system EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle), in which an electric motor is responsible for propelling the motorcycle while a combustion motor generates electricity to power the battery when necessary.
This solution allows you to extend the autonomy without depending exclusively on charging points. However, Cherry It has not yet published data on power, battery capacity, fuel tank or total range.
This curious cruiser also incorporates technology V2Lwhich allows you to power external electrical devices, as well as digital instrumentation, connectivity for navigation, calls and music, and software updates through technology OTA.
An ADV scooter with up to 200 km of autonomy
The second novelty is a scooter with adventurous aesthetics and completely electric propulsion. Cherry It announces a range of between 150 and 200 km and ensures that it can be recharged with the same charger used for cars.
For now, the power, battery capacity, charging times and final equipment are not known. Therefore, the announced autonomy is still pending verification in real conditions.
Will Chery motorcycles arrive in Spain?
The company has also registered a very affordable electric moped in China. By the way, a segment with a high sales volume in that market. This first model could serve as a gateway before expanding its offering with more sophisticated vehicles. For now, Cherry has not confirmed prices or release dates for the Grow C3 and the scooter ADV. Nor has he announced his arrival in Europe.
The extended autonomy technology with AI of the Grow C3 It will be one of the most interesting aspects when its final specifications are known. Its evolution will allow us to verify whether this system can become a practical alternative for electric motorcycles intended to travel long distances. We’ll see, said a blind man.
