In his firm commitment to the sustainability and modernization of his fleet, the Mossos d’Esquadra have incorporated 25 electric motorcycles Zero dsr/x. With this acquisition, the Catalan police body advances in reducing its carbon footprint and optimizes its daily operation with more efficient, silent and low maintenance vehicles.
The new electric motorcycles, not generating emissions or noise pollution, will allow agents to patrol with greater discretion in urban and natural environments, accessing any area the different places where they fulfill their work. In addition, its soft and fluid conduction, thanks to the absence of gearshift, improves the comfort of agents who spend hours about the handlebar.
THE NEW ZERO DSR/X LIST TO FULFILL YOUR WORK
From Mossos d’Esquadra they emphasize that the incorporation of these 25 zero dsr/x supposes “Faster in solving incidents, more versatility and being totally ecological. There are three factors to highlight of the many who give us the zero.” In the same way, they point out that the advantages of the zero against an internal combustion motorcycle are:
“The first is that we do not pollute and we do not lose anything regarding the conventional motorcycle; this is very important. If because we do not contaminate we lost benefits we would have to value it. But in this case we do not lose anything and also the electric motorcycle gives you the exit power. It is easier to catch someone when it goes fast in a short distance, it makes less noise … they are the same benefits as a conventional motorcycle but without contaminating.”
For Josep Antoni Saumell, Mayor and second head of the Superior Police Station technique of security planning, DTPS, Mossos d’Esquadra, the message they can convey with this incorporation into the service is clear and concise: “Faster, closer and more ecological”.
