Living adventures on a motorcycle is something that almost everyone likes. It is true that it is coffee for coffee lovers, and that the limit of what one considers adventure or not is quite subjective. What’s more, the more adventures you have experienced, the higher your level of demand is to consider it an adventure.
There is nothing that can guarantee that an adventure will end in success, but there are certain factors that must always be taken into account. It doesn’t matter if we are going to take a trip within Spain or go outside, we cannot ignore certain things.
But then there is an obvious advantage if we travel through Spain, and that is that we are at home, and all the assistance we may need will be much easier to manage. And by assistance we are talking about both mechanics and in case things get bad and after an accident we need assistance.
That is why we must keep everything in order when crossing our borders, make sure what our insurance does or does not cover and expand coverage if necessary. To this we can add personal travel insurance and other types of preventions that always come in handy.
But if our adventure is in countries with less infrastructure development than ours, the risk of things getting complicated will always be greater. And it is not the same to be in places where there are hospitals and large cities nearby than, for example, on roads that cross unpopulated areas and where nearby populated areas are not developed.
If the adventure goes wrong, things can get a little more complicated.
A close example is the one experienced by the biker Flora_mmg, who recounted her experience in Morocco, spectacular by the way, until she suffered an accident. He had the bad luck that the motorcycle fell on him and despite wearing knee pads, or thanks to them, he suffered a fracture of the tibia and fibula.
We said that thanks to them because, precisely, quality knee pads put the health of the knee, which is more difficult to operate and recover, before that of the tibia and fibula, exposing them to the effort that would destroy our joint.
The fact is that what is complicated in cases like Flora’s is that they reveal a reality that must never be lost sight of. That does not mean that you cannot enjoy an incredible country like Morocco or its people, but you have to be clear about the risks and assume them just as our friend has done.
She is already recovering after being transferred to Spain and operated on, and is planning her next trip to the other side of the strait. And what our neighboring country offers in terms of adventures is simply spectacular. If you read us, good luck and a speedy recovery!
