Porsche 911 Carrera T Cabrio 2025: for the first time in convertible format

The T designation on the 911 appeared for the first time in 1968. It is the initial of the word “Touring” and has always been linked to models that were especially purists. In recent years it has recovered with the 911 Carrera T, although it was only available in the closed-roof coupe body. However, now with the Porsche 911 Carrera T Cabrio 2025 You can also enjoy lightness under the open sky. This is a model that is now available from 180,565 euros.

It is the first time that this version is available on the 911 Cabrio and is good news for more traditional fans. The first reason is because you can only choose the six speed manual gearbox along with the 3.0-liter six-cylinder biturbo boxer engine. It is the same as in the 911 Carrera, so it maintains its 394 HP and 450 Nm of torque. However, the main novelty is in the weight, which can be up to 42 kg lighter than the one without the T.

It achieves this thanks to some strategies weight reduction such as reducing insulation, installing lightened windows or bucket-type sports seats. Due to these reasons, its features are really interesting. The convertible accelerates 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and has a maximum speed of 293 km/h. Highlights include the sound of the sports exhaust system, the braking of its new 350 mm discs with six-piston calipers at the front and the steering on the rear axle.

In addition to this equipment, the Porsche 911 Carrera T Cabrio also comes as standard with the PASM adaptive sports suspension (reduces the height by 10 mm) and the Sport Chrono package. It achieves agile and precise behavior thanks to the specific tuning and also draws attention to its details. On the outside it has stickers with the manual transmission scheme and metallic vanadium gray finishes. The rear spoiler is from the Carrera GTS and the possibilities in its color palette are almost endless, plus the hood can be black, red, blue or brown.

The interior does not go unnoticed and has a very special detail. We talk about laminated wood knob of open-pore walnut for its gear lever, which is shortened and has precise travel. On the front it has the MT logo to refer to the fact that it is a manual transmission. On the other hand, the GT sports steering wheel is covered in leather and heated as standard, while the leather upholstery is in black, with contrast stitching upon request.
