The AMV insurance company, in collaboration with the Royal Spanish Motorcycle Federation (RFME), have been responsible for bringing this reforestation project in the Community of Madrid to action.
As a result, only 200 native trees were planted a few days ago in the town of Paracuellos del Jarama. The main objective of this reforestation project is the power to mitigate part of the carbon footprint that is generated around the tests of the National Motocross Championship.
The reforestation project will absorb up to 4 tons of CO₂
AMV, which has renewed its sponsorship of the championship in this 2025, has taken the opportunity to strengthen its commitment to green, a color that is in its DNA since they started shooting more than 50 years ago (Assurance Moto View are the acronym of AMV in French) and that is still present today:
“We are very happy to have renewed our sponsorship of the National Motocross Championship and to do so, in addition, in a very sustainable way with this reforestation action, carried out in collaboration with the Federation”he states Mónica GaleraDeputy General Director of AMV Spain, on this reforestation project.
A total of 25 volunteers from the AMV and RFME teams have gone to work in this reforestation project, to plant the 200 trees, all of native species, such as juniper, oak and pine pine, in an extension of 1,500 square meters. Thanks to the action carried in this forest, it is estimated that up to 4 tons of carbon dioxide will be absorbed over the next 30 years.
Rafael Núñez ForneiroGeneral secretary of the RFME, has highlighted the importance of such actions to raise awareness about sustainable motorcycling: “For the RFME it is vital importance to take care of the natural environment and raise awareness about a responsible use of it.”
Concludes: “Actions such as this reforestation help to compensate for the carbon footprint generated by our championships and to raise awareness about how important the balance is to carry out any activity, sports or not. The alliance with AMV helps us enforce our environmental goals and continue taking steps towards sustainable motorcycling. ”
