The “Ruta + Fea”, an innovative project sponsored by Triumph

With the aim of involving the biker community to give back to nature and society everything that is lost in the areas affected by fires, Triumph Spain has decided to sponsor the solidarity project “The Ugly Route” (LR+F) under the motto “Let’s get back to riding in the places we love”. A support that seeks not only to promote motorcycle tourism and the economy in these regions, but also to contribute to positive and sustainable change and reduce the carbon footprint.

On their own website it is possible to join Bikerwoodan initiative through which Triumph joins ReTree and gives life to a forest where all motorcyclists can contribute by planting trees whenever they want in a very simple way. In this way, every tree that burns in a fire can be replaced with our solidarity.

In addition, on the project’s official website you can consult more than a dozen motorcycle routes, with recommendations for hotels and points of interest, in affected areas where visits by motorcyclists are a great driving force to reactivate the economy and prevent depopulation.

“The Ugly Route”: Leaving a positive mark on the world

Through the website it is very easy to plant trees in Bikerwood, the decentralised forest in various areas of Spain that was created by ReTree and is one of the cornerstones of the project. Its aim is to regenerate each territory with native species, boost rural employment and, ultimately, create a forest that symbolises the union of bikers with nature.

La Ruta + Fea, an innovative project sponsored by Triumph

Triumph, apart from its own contribution, invites each biker to plant as many trees as they wish at any time from the website, and for less than 15 euros per tree, depending on the species and the area, and thus become part of a social and solidarity movement to restore the ecological balance. In addition, all those who plant 5 trees or more can save their ReTree receipt and stay tuned to Triumph and La Ruta + Fea social networks, where there will be news soon.

On the website of La Ruta + Fea, you can also find specific routes through various areas that have been devastated by the fires, but whose roads have not lost an iota of enjoyment for motorcyclists. There are already more than a dozen routes available to download as GPX tracks or navigate directly from Google Maps through the provinces of Alicante, Navarre, Caceres, Teruel, Burgos, Madrid, Malaga, Guadalajara, Castellon, Avilaetc.

These roads and curves tell stories and not only offer the opportunity to enjoy riding on two wheels, but are also a way to raise awareness and pay tribute to nature and the people who have fought to restore the environment. The LR+F project is eminently collaborative and the website is open to all motorcyclists to share their images of riding through areas devastated by the fires, as well as new routes that are worth riding. For more information about La Ruta + Fea and how to contribute to the project, visit the official website or contact your nearest Triumph dealer.
