The fourth generation of the Skoda Superb reached the market in 2024. As always, with the traditional Berlina silhouette and the combi family practice, but the latter had a plug -in hybrid propulsion system … which lacked the Berlin.
We say “lacked” because in the next few weeks the Skoda Superb IV can be chosen in several markets because its manufacture starts in the second quarter of 2025 .. The formula is what we met in the skoda Kodiaq IV, combining 1.5 TSI engine of turboalted gasoline four -cylinder and 110 kW (150 hp) with an 85 kW and 330 nm torque motor. It is a three -phase synchronous motor of permanent magnets that is integrated into the transmission and separated from the internal combustion engine by a clutch.
You can work independently to propel the vehicle or work in Tandem with the gasoline engine. Both produce a combined 150 kW power (204 hp), which is transmitted to the front wheels through a six -speed DSG gearbox.
It has the same high voltage battery, with a gross capacity of 25.7 kWh, consists of four modules and is located under the rear seats. Announces an autonomy in electrical mode “greater than 120 km” and admits loads in alternating current up to 11 kW and continuous current of up to 50 kW (goes from 10 to 80 % in 26 minutes at one point in that power).
Three energy management modes can be selected, the usual in plug-in hybrids: e-mode, with electric motor, hybrid mode and Sport mode. They can be combined with the standard driving modes of the Superb range (echo, comfort, normal, sport, individual).
The new Skoda Superb IV includes novelties such as the second generation Matrx LED headlights, an interior redesigned with the ŠKODA smart dials for more intuitive management and a simplified range structure with Design Selections, in addition to an arsenal of security systems and aid to driving.
