At the beginning of 2022 we were talking about how Sym, on its global website, had announced the launch of its new Sym NH T300, in addition to Euro5 approval, the same one that prevailed in those comments in our continent. Already then the possibility that the Asian brand ended up offering such a model in European markets was shuffled, taking into account the boom that already began to have the mounts of this type among local fans.
New Sym NH X200 and NH T200 in detail
Now we have known as SYM has expanded its NH range again with the arrival of two new variants of 200 cc, both in the Naked model and the Adventure version. Both share the platform that gives life to the 125 cc versions of the two models, as well as the aforementioned NH T300 that is positioned as a flagship within the motorcycle offer (NO SCOOTER) that currently offers us Sym.
Thus, while the Sym NH X200 is presented as a sports appearance NAKED, the NH T200 shows us an image and characteristics associated with the fashionable mounts of low displacement. Both share a common platform where we first highlight a four -stroke monociler propeller and 183 CC, water cooled and associated with a six -relationship gearbox.
This declares a final power of 18.1 CV at 8,500 rpm and 15.7 nm of maximum torque at 7,500 rpm. Similarly, both in the Naked variant and in its Adventure version we have a cycle part commanded by a steel tubular chassis and a conventional aluminum tilting. The suspensions resort to a conventional telehidraúlic fork and a rear mono -casting anchored in central position.
From here, Sym uses specific elements in each of them. The biggest difference between the two, in terms of its cycle part, we find it on the tires chosen for each of them: of alloy and 17 ”for the Naked and radial type model with 19” in front and 17 ”behind in the Sym NH T200. In both cases the braking is made up of a couple of discs type discs Wave 260 mm in diameter on the front axle and 222 mm in the posterior.
As for the final maxims, the Naked model homologous a maximum weight of 142 kilograms for the 152 kilos of the offroad variant. They also differ in the seat height, the result of different suspension adjustments, taking into account the use for which each of them are designed: 790 mm in the road option and 815 mm in the field.
Finally, referring to the main equipment elements, beyond a distinctive body in each model, both the Sym NH X200 and the NH T200 include Full-LED lighting, LCD instrument panel or a USB load port.
Although the official price of each of them has not yet been published, it would be interesting to know Sym’s intentions regarding the possibility that both models can reach Europe, probably in versions of 125 and 300 cc respectively.
