A new edition of the Ténéré Spirit 2024the event for Ténéré 700 owners that on this occasion moved to the north of Spain, locating its base camp in the town of Moaña (Vigo) and carrying out other activities in the area of Pontevedra, Ourense and northern Portugal.
Ténéré Spirit 2024 in detail
The More than 80 attendees The Ténéré Spirit 2024 arrived on Friday 5 July, hungry for adventure, and enjoyed a full programme of activities. This first day began with morning driving courses, suitable for different levels, led by the brand’s ambassadors. Jordi Arcarons and Javi Vega, where various key exercises were worked on that allowed the participants to increase their piloting level.
In the afternoon, after regaining strength with a meal in the same venue, the briefing from the Saturday route, also led by Jordi Arcarons who explained in detail how to approach the route they would take the next day.
The day continued with the expected challenge of the Challenge Ténéréa timed circuit with obstacles, sharp turns, climbs and descents where the most skilled on the Ténéré were rewarded.
After the intense Challenge Ténéré it was time to rest and enjoy the show by Pol Tarres, who once again left everyone with their mouths open with his impossible tricks on the Ténéré.
Early on Saturday morning the moment of truth arrived, the great challenge of Ténéré Spirit 2024; the route. A journey of more than 270 kilometres through incredible natural landscapes, which combined off-road sections of different levels and roads of all kinds where the virtues of the Ténéré 700 could be put to the test.
The weather in the north of the peninsula never disappoints and the day dawned grey with light rain, giving a more epic touch to the first stages of the Ténéré Spirit 2024 route. After the first section, the participants arrived at the refreshment stand where the Yamaha team offered them food, drink and technical advice to solve any problems they had with their motorcycle.
In addition to having to face a special timed section, a novelty of this third edition, where they could once again compete against the clock and opt for great prizes. The second part of the route, now with totally sunny weather, took users across the border and also enjoyed the amazing natural landscapes of northern Portugal.
After more than seven hours on the bike, the first participants began to arrive at the base camp, where they received a well-deserved recognition in the form of a medal. Once the day’s challenge was over, it was time to relax, share the adventure with the other participants and enjoy the music of Discodelia.
A group that includes Ahikar Azcona, a Yamaha ambassador who, after enjoying the route with the attendees, still had the energy to play some songs that livened up the last hours of the event before the closing dinner and subsequent awards ceremony, which served as the final point of this edition of the Ténéré Spirit 2024.
