The weirdest (and most advanced) electric scooter you’ll see this year is so high-tech it seems like science fiction

AIMA has decided to go up a notch in the electricity market with the launch of SCOOXits new premium division. And it has done so with a very clear declaration of intent: the series X7 It doesn’t want to look like anything we see on the street today.

Defined by the brand itself as a “land aircraft“, this family of electric scooters is committed to a radical approach in both design and technology and is aimed at a young audience looking to differentiate themselves. By the way, we already told you about this Chinese EV scooter not too long ago.

This is the AIMA SCOOX X7 range

The first thing that catches your attention in SCOOX X7 It is its aesthetics. The bodywork relies on very marked angular lines, with an architecture that seems to float above the whole. The front is dominated by a triple-lens lighting system, accompanied by a continuous LED light signature that runs through the vehicle and reinforces its presence.

This design language, clearly influenced by the world of science fiction, moves away from traditional scooters and closer to a futuristic mobility concept, where aesthetics are almost as important as functionality. Although commercially it is presented as an electric scooter, the technical basis of the X7 tells another story. In fact, the chassis uses a double-cradle steel tubular structure, a common solution in motorcycles, which provides rigidity and stability.

One of the most striking aspects appears in the higher versions Max 80which incorporate a single-sided swingarm and a multi-link front suspension. This type of system, unusual even in motorcycles, separates the steering and absorption functions, allowing more precise and efficient operation of the suspension. An approach that is reminiscent of very exclusive proposals like those of the boys from Italjet.

The version Pro 65more accessible, opts for a conventional inverted fork, but maintains a technical approach above the segment average. In all cases we find dual-channel ABS, traction control (TCS) and disc brakes on both axles, while the Max 80 They add a rare element in this type of vehicle: millimeter wave radar with blind spot detection.

In the mechanical section, the SCOOX X7 opts for an electric motor integrated into the rear wheel supplied by boschan increasingly widespread solution due to its compactness and efficiency. The most powerful version, the Max 80develops a nominal 3 kW with peaks of up to 7.2 kW, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in 4.8 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 90 km/h. For his part, the Pro 65 It remains at 60 km/h, aimed at more urban use.

Regarding batteries, the variants Max 80 They offer two configurations: a single battery version and another with a double lithium battery, both with ranges greater than 100 km. He Pro 65on the other hand, uses a lead-acid battery, which is cheaper but also more limited in performance. An interesting detail is the location of the battery at the front of the vehicle, in a position similar to that of a fuel tank, which helps improve weight distribution and stability.

Another of the pillars of X7 It is your technological equipment. The system allows up to 6 unlocking methods, including smartphone, NFC or automatic proximity activation. The instrument panel is a 7-inch TFT screen, from which the different functions of the vehicle are managed. But beyond the usual, the SCOOX X7 introduces solutions rarely seen in the sector, such as automatic measurement of the driver’s weight or an adjustable seat in 3 heights between 740 and 760 mm.

As we are telling you, the first deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of this year, marking the beginning of a new stage for AIMA in the premium electric segment. Be careful, the series SCOOX X7 It is now available for reservation in China, with prices that are:

  • SCOOX X7 Pro 65: 1,050 euros.
  • SCOOX X7 Max 80 (one battery): 2,100 euros.
  • SCOOX X7 Max 80 (double battery): 2,600 euros.
