These are some of the access trails that are coming. Watch out, because they promise

The trail segment continues to grow exponentially. But we are no longer talking about large trails, but rather the so-called access trails for the A2 have also gained prominence, which do not necessarily have to be limited.

You only have to look at the success of models like the Honda CB500X, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, MITT 530 TT Adventure or Benelli TRK 502 X among many others. Now there are other participants that are about to join a tough battle, some of which we have already told you about previously. However, in case you have missed any, we have gathered them all together for you.

These are the next access trails to arrive

Triumph Tiger 400

Without a doubt one of the most anticipated. The alliance between Bajaj and Triumph has been extremely successful, with combined sales of over 50,000 units of the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 in one year. As such, the alliance will launch a new motorcycle every year.

Before the end of 2024, the Thruxton 400 will probably arrive, followed by an entry-level trail bike that will continue the successful Triumph Tiger line. This could compete with the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, using the 398 cc engine shared with its siblings.

Spotted in multiple tests both locally and internationally, the new generation of the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is expected to make its world premiere around November. It includes an all-new design, a new frame and a host of more advanced features. It will also feature an Enduro variant and use the liquid-cooled 399cc engine from the latest 390 Duke.

Hero Xpulse 400 & Xpulse 210

Aiming to challenge the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure, Hero MotoCorp is developing a flagship Xpulse model. It is rumoured to feature a new 420cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, possibly derived from the X440. Evidence also indicates that Hero is working on the next-generation Xpulse, powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled engine borrowed from the Karizma XMR.

Although we won’t see it in Europe, it should be noted that Kawasaki has been testing the future KLX 230 for some time and it will be presented in early 2025. The entry-level dual-sport trail bike will be powered by a 233 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, developing 19 hp and 20.6 Nm.
