In the near future, people like the industrial designer Ivan Zhurba imagine a world of the two wheels composed of motorcycles similar to their Iciban Concept. An electric model of neo -retro appearance that offers a minimalist design language under the motto “Destined to a new generation of bikers”.
To do this, its creator focuses on creating an image with details inspired by the style of the 70s and at the same time let the imagination fly based on futuristic lines and elements focused on aerodynamics.
Iciban Concept in Detail
This curious concept, which we have met thanks to Ride Apart’s teammates, has been in the development phase for several years. Zhurba exhibits its virtual advances in their social networks and even some international media have echoed the design of IChiban under arguments of the style “Motor lovers will love this design.”
On the latter it is clear that Ivan Zhurba has been inspired by one of the most famous mounts of Japanese manga, the motorcycle that Kaneda uses, Akira’s protagonist. We can see, for example, in the design of its tires or the geometric shapes that make up each and every one of its parts.
Beyond the merely visual from Iciban MotorcyCles, they mention that its concept, of becoming a reality, would be propelled by a double electric motor capable of generating a maximum power of 45 kilowatts managing to pass dE 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and also offering an autonomy of 250 kilometers With each recharge.
It also has a driving mode that they have called “Godzilla”, which if you active would work similar to the Boost mode that announce other evidence of the market, such as energy, zero or BMW. In terms of safety, such common systems could not miss today as ABS and traction control.
It is clear that this ichiban concept is still a simple style exercise that will be difficult to become a reality. However, we must keep the design language used by its creator and raise awareness that the world of motorcycle advances towards something similar to this.
At this point, one must ask yourself, are this the motorcycles we want in the future? … I read you in the comments.
