This seat has a vibration system that tells you when to turn or look at the instrument panel

Safety and avoiding distractions when driving is the headache for many people and companies in the world. With all the technology that surrounds us, you only have to go outside to see the number of distractions and accidents that occur due to not knowing how to use it, in the correct way, and at the right time. That is why an Italian company has created a vibration system in the seat that seeks to end part of this problem.

And the numbers are overwhelming, since every year around the world 1.3 million people die from traffic accidents, which places it as the eighth cause of death in the world. To put it in context, it is more than those who died from diabetes. Within that 1.3 million there are many reasons that led to the accident, but one of them is distractions of more than 3 seconds.

A vibration system to avoid constantly looking at screens

If we focus on motorcycles, the greatest distraction recorded is that of the driver looking at the instrument panel. Although brands have been working for some time to make them easier to read and interpret at a quick glance, it is a delicate moment, since more time passes than we think without being focused on what we have around us.

In order to solve it, the Italian company Viber Alert has created a curious vibration system that consists of installing four powerful vibrating motors in the seat, and which are connected directly to the instrument panel.

When information from this box must be shown to the user, some parameters that will be determined previously, the vibrators will begin to work and through that vibration the user will know that it is time to look at the box quickly.

The system can also be connected to a navigator that will indicate, through vibrations, when and in which direction to turn. The system will be connected via Bluetooth or Can Bus system.

For now the entire project is in its initial phases, so there are no estimated dates or prices, although it is patented.
