Three Spanish pilots are ready for battle

The Superbike World Cup season is approaching its inexorable end and Motorland Aragon will be the next stop. The next weekend, the one from September 26 to 28, the motorcycle championship derived as standard faces the last last round, on one of the most special tracks of the whole season, and three Spanish pilots will be present.

This is Álvaro Bautista, Xavi Vierge and Tito Rabat with the absence of Iker Lecuona due to injury, and the three will be protagonists in their own way in an event where each will have their objectives. While Bautista has material and personal means to try to fight for victory, Verge seeks to take a new step with the CBR1000RR-R and TITO RABAT to be somewhat more competitive with his private Honda.

In any case, the three have had a time to be able to talk to Álex Medina and share their sensations of what is going to season, what they expect from Motorland and, also, about the future.

Álvaro Bautista hopes to shine in Motorland

The Talaverano pilot, two -time WSBK with Ducati, faces his last Visit to Motorland as official Ducati pilot because next year goes to Barni. Even so, despite the age, things are still clear.

The Motorland Round arrives … Good memories?

Very good memories, last year I won two races. It is a difficult layout, with many blind curves, it is challenging, it is cool. The part that I like the most is the double entrance, you have to have the fair line. The goal from here at the end of the year is to end up in Top 3, and Motorland will be a good opportunity to take points. It adapts to my style.

Your best memory?

In 2019, in my first season in Motorland with Ducati, I won the three races. It was very cool, it was the third race of the championship, but the first in Europe. Ducati adapts very well to this circuit.

It will be your last test in Motorland with the official Ducati.

Yes. In part it reassures me to have my future defined after the strange situation that I have had in Team Aruba. I am very excited in 2026. I will be in Team Barni, which showed a lot of interest in me from the beginning, I have felt valued and loved. A team that is growing, who wants and much enthusiasm. Technically I will have the best. But first you have to end this 2025. If I have made the decision to remain active it is because I know that I can give more of myself. I have spoken a lot with Ducati and on the other hand I will have material and personal support. They know that with the new motorcycle I can help you. In a test, precisely in Motorland, we tried many things.

Will it be the new Ducati V4 R 2026 a very different motorcycle?

Yes, very different. It is an important change and Ducati wants to step forward.

What would you say to the public to come by Motorland?

I hope many people come. I know that WSBK does not have the motorcycle pull in Spain, but the WSBK program is supercomplete and the paddock atmosphere is very beautiful. Here you can not see a show, but it is part of it.

Xavi ray by the podium at home

Vierge still does not have her future assured

Xavi’s case is different from Álvaro’s and that is that the Honda pilot is taking the entire game to a motorcycle that is not at the level of the Ducati or Razgatlioglu. Even so, the podium is something that can aspire both in the next appointment and in those that remain seasonal.

How do you get to Motorland?

We are doing a good season. Obviously, far from winning, which is the goal, but we have made good races, often close to the top five. In Aragon we did a test that did very well, with career tires, and we found things that can help us.

One of the areas that I like the most is after the corkscrew. With the new asphalt you can go very fast. Our motorcycle adapts well, I really want to be closer to those in front.

What do you expect from the house race?

Every time we run at home it is very special, because there is the family, friends, the public helps you. In addition, it is one of the circuits that goes well to our motorcycle. In Aragon we have always been more or less good. With the long line our motorcycle has potential.

Your future?

I have many doubts, there is nothing defined, but I take it positively. It is not an easy situation.

Scratching where there is no, the adventure of the incombustible Tito Rabat

Vierge, Bautista and Rabat, the three representatives in WSBK

The Spanish squad with the low lesion of Iker Lecuona and the decline in Sergio García’s last moment as his substitute for the complete Tito Rabat. In his case, Tito “dances with the ugliest” with a 100% private and uncompeitive motorcycle with which Catalan tries to get the best results within his reach.

What encouragement do you get to Motorland?

Well, I hope to have a good weekend. Motorland is a clue where we can make a good result. These last races are very important to me after a very unstable situation in recent seasons. It is a good opportunity, making a good result will help me solve my future.

Do you like your layout?

I like everyone! But above all I am going quickly. If I enjoy it, I take advantage of all the clues. Hopefully it doesn’t rain. I am motivated to run at home and, with what I have, I will go for all, as always.

Motorland?

I remember the first time I came to run to Superbike. I was in front of Barni’s Ducati and when I rolled with the top ten I broke. In Motorland I won on Moto2; In the slender, with a motorcycle that I had just known, I did it well on MotoGP. Always with private motorcycles, in private equipment, and I assure you that from within it is not the same as seeing it from the outside.

In spite of everything …! I’m still competitive!
