Trail or asphalt? The Benelli BKX 125 revolutionizes the 125 segment with its 15 HP, equipment and spectacular design

Benelli is preparing to face the next season with new models such as the recently presented BKX 125 and BKX 125 S 2025. Two trail and supermoto motorcycles respectively, which use a common platform, although each of them has a well-defined personality. with respect to the other. This implies using the same engine and cycle part, although with specific adjustments in both cases.

Benelli BKX 125 and BKX 125 S 2025 in detail

Both the BKX 125 like the BKX 125 S They have a single-cylinder, four-stroke, 125 cubic centimeter water-cooled engine. This has been approved under the new European regulations Euro 5+declaring a final power of 15 HP at 9,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 12 Nm at 7,500 revolutions. The mechanics are associated with a 6-speed gearbox and fed by an electronic fuel injection system with a 28 mm diameter butterfly body.

In the cycle part, both share a tubular steel chassis along with a conventional double-arm swingarm also made of this material. The suspensions are controlled by a 41 mm inverted fork at the front and a shock absorber with a progressive link, adjustable in spring preload and hydraulic extension brake. This is where we find the first difference, since while in the trail version we have 180 mm of travel, in the asphalt variant there is only 150 mm.

Although the brand has not declared the official price of the two models, nor the exact time of their commercialization, both are expected to be available at the beginning of 2025.
