In just a few days, the deadline to get one of the two motorcycles owned by Jim Moir (known as Vic Reeves) will expire, which are currently auctioned on the official “The Salaroom” website. We talk about a beautiful Royal Enfield Bullet 500 and a W650 Kawasaki, both customized by Moir himself and with a truly striking level of finishes.
Royal Enfield Bullet 500 and Kawasaki W650: old school look by Vic Reeves
There is no doubt that Jim Moir, artistically known under the nickname of Vic Reeves, the motorcycles with Old School flavor are going. This multifaceted British artist has been working in the world of television and radio for more than three decades, a profession that also combines with another of its passions, motorcycles. It is also given to create its own customizations.
Both the Bullet 500 and the W650 are the work of Reeves itself, with Bobber and Flat Track -style finishes respectively. As detailed in the auction announcement itself, both were fully restored and never used in the last 7 years: “There were no expenses in a new full version and a restoration, according to the specifications of its former famous owner, Jim Moir, also known as Vic Reeves”it is clarified in the description explicitly.
It won’t be until next April 20 when the aforementioned auction exhausts the maximum period to be able to make a bid. At the time of writing these lines both for Bullet 500 and for the Kawasaki W650 only offers for 6,000 pounds have been received. We do not know what the minimum reserve price will be, or if they will finally achieve it in any of them.
What is clear is that we talk about two very special mounts with a style full of nuances. Both follow the same aesthetic philosophy where the first retro appearance above anything else. All this with the addition of belonging so far to one of the best known personalities in the world of British television.
