With an extensive international career in business management, operations, marketing and digital transformation, Carlos Blanco will lead the company’s evolution towards a most innovative and sustainable model.
Blanco has a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. He began his career in Creative Territory before joining the carsharing platform in 2016 emov (now Free2move), where he led the marketing and communication team in Spain and Portugal. In 2019 he assumed the general direction of Wiblea shared mobility initiative by REPSOL and KIA.
Until now he had held the position of Global Director of Operations (COO) at Santander Consumer Financeleading projects such as Wabi, the subscription car service, and Ulity, an innovative technology platform for business mobility solutions.
The new CEO has an Executive MBA from the Instituto de Empresa (IE), has led startup launches and international projects, and is a firm defender of technology as a driver of change for a better world. It is for the latter that Carlos Blanco has opted to take on a new challenge.
“I am excited to lead Coches.com in its mission to revolutionize mobility with creativity, innovation and technology, offering solutions that connect with people’s real needs,” explained the new CEO, who adds that “The automotive industry faces challenges like never before seen and solutions like Coches.com must respond to the needs of manufacturers, dealers and users.”
