Years ago that of France was one of the last races of the season, but for a long time it lost that privilege with the championship looking for better temperatures in the final part of the year. That does not take away so that Magy-Cours is an important appointment for the resolution of a championship to which Razgatlioglu and Bulega already aspire.
After the last three Toprak triplets the Turk arrives with 26 points ahead of a Nicolo Bulega that leads without climbing to the top of the podium from the Czech Republic Round in May, but has managed to gather points and maximizing its opportunities every weekend.
We will have to see how these last third of the championship face, but what is certain is that if Razgatlioglu continues its tendency in France, little or nothing can do Bulega to stop it. However, we will have to be aware of the psychological factor because last year and on a clearly obsolete track in security measures, the Turk suffered a serious accident that did not end in tragedy by centimeters.
We will also have to see if Bulega is able to step forward in competitiveness and not fail in the classification or the first laps of the France’s career, as well as see what performance the rest of the Ducati pilots will have that are the only ones who, a priori, could be entered between the two contestants to the title.
Danilo Petrucci, already confirmed as a BMW pilot for 2026, and Álvaro Bautista, who will take the Danilo position in Barni, have a double challenge ahead. Logic says that, on the one hand, they must fight to reach the third place of the general, right now in the hands of the Italian, and on the other hand, to help a Bulega as much as possible that alone is not being able to be how dominant it was at the beginning of the season.
In any case, all this is pending in turn of the weather conditions, because although the temperatures will not be especially cold, there is even the possibility of rain during Sunday’s day and that, as always, could change the plans.
Magy-Cours details
It is one of the emblematic circuits of France, but, obviously, it is a track that is outdated and with great safety times. To the accident of Razgatlioglu last year we must add others both previous and later and the possibility of re -entry on track once the pilot and the motorcycle go to the ground.
But analyzing what the layout is, despite not being very long, it does have very fast areas such as the first partial that ends in one of the wildest braking of the whole season in curve five. A clear place of overtaking at the entrance, but that, in addition, allows the attack on the linked of the second sector to prepare well.
The last sector also has several overtaking points, so a tight race ending is not really decided until the same finish line that, incidentally, is very close to the departure of the Chicane and, therefore, it does not give rise to overtaking by aspiration in that last lap.
