About 10 months have passed since ZXMoto presented the initial attempt of what today becomes its new high-performance ADV mount: the long-awaited 820X. It does so with some aesthetic changes, especially regarding its front part, although maintaining the technical precepts on which the project was built from the beginning. Or what is the same, powered by the powerful 819 cc three-cylinder that the 820RR also has.
ZXMoto 820X: ADV sportiness
Since ZXMoto put its cards on the table at the last EICMA 2025, one thing is clear: it is here to stay and it also intends to do so with a truly interesting range of models. Whether in the technical part, as well as in the economic part, the Chinese manufacturer has generated expectations among the motorcycle community that are difficult to compare. With its new 820X it only reaffirms its intentions.

Furthermore, through a model that draws on personality in all aspects. Starting with its 819 cc three-cylinder engine from which a final power of 85 kW is extracted, about 114 HP. From local media they affirm that the maximum torque will finally exceed the 85Nm. The brand declares in the approval documents presented to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Technology a top speed of 220 km/h.
Front redesign and premium equipment
Although the mechanical configuration that was announced last year has been maintained, the same has not happened with the general design of the motorcycle. It is evident how this ZXMoto 820X sports a total redesign of its front part. Originally, the concept exhibited at the Milan Motor Show had a lighting system made up of two overlapping front lights. Now, with the official presentation of the final version we can see how a classic layout was ultimately chosen, with a projector on each side of the “camoto”.

Another element that draws powerful attention is the new aluminum skid plate that is even more forceful and larger than the one shown on the 820 ADV from Milan. Likewise, they have ended up mounting a pair of radial wheels shod with mixed tires measuring 120/70 R19 and 170/60 R17 at the front and rear respectively, leaving behind the initial configuration of 21”/18”.
Other important information regarding its specifications would be:
- Empty weight: 218 kg
- Wheelbase: 1,575 mm
- L x W x H: 2,320 mm x 950 mm x 1,455 mm

Release date and price
In the first images leaked after the approval for its commercial start IN China, the 820X is shown equipped with a suitcase kit that will initially be offered in two different color schemes. Including this equipment, its initial price in its country of origin will be around 48,000 yen, about 6,100 euros at the exchange rate. Without this option the rate would drop by around 380 euros.
As for the arrival on our continent, for now, the brand has not commented on the matter. Everything suggests that the model will be presented on the occasion of EICMA 2026to later officially launch it in Europe and just a few weeks later start its commercial stage. For now we will have to wait for new updates on the subject… We will be attentive.
